Duas to Seek Protection from Enemies and Hardships

Islam is the religion of Almighty Allah which is taught to Muslims by Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the Holy Quran is the source of guidance for all mankind especially for Muslims, that assists us in every aspect of life. We must follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah of Holy Prophet (SAW) to get blessings and success in this life and the Hereafter. Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us many Duas for different occasions.  Here we will discuss Duas to seek protection from enemies and hardships.

Duas for Protection from Enemies and Hardships

اللّهُـمَّ إِنا نَجْـعَلُكَ في نُحـورِهِـم، وَنَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرورِهـمْ

Transliteration: Allaahumma ‘innaa naj’aluka fee nuhoorihim wa na’oothu bika min shuroorihim.

Translation: “O Allah, we ask You to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in You from their evil.”  (Abu Dawood)

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِماَ شِئْتَ

Transliteration: Allaahummak-fineehim bimaa shi’ta.

Translation: “O Allah, suffice (i.e. protect) me against them however You wish.” (Muslim)

اللّهُـمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُـدي، وَأَنْتَ نَصـيري، بِكَ أَجـولُ وَبِكَ أَصـولُ وَبِكَ أُقـاتِل

Transliteration: Allaahumma ‘Anta ‘adhudee, wa ‘Anta naseeree, bika ‘ajoolu, wa bika ‘asoolu, wa bika ‘uqaatilu.

Translation: “O Allah, You are my strength and You are my support. For Your sake I go forth and for Your sake I advance and for Your sake I fight.” (Abu Dawood)

حَسْبُـنا اللهُ وَنِعْـمَ الوَكـيل

Transliteration: Hasbunallaahu wa ni’amal-wakeel.

Translation: “Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend.” (Bukhari)

اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ اْلِكتَابِ ، سَرِيْعَ الْحِسَابِ ،اِهْزِمِ الإْحْزَابَ ،اللَّهُمَّ اِهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ

Transliteration: Allaahumma munzilal-kitaabi, saree’al-hisaabi, ihzimil-‘ahzaaba, Allaahumma ihzimhum wa zalzilhum.

Translation: “Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account, defeat the groups (of disbelievers). O Allah, defeat them and shake them.” (Muslim)

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِين

Translation: “There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers.” (Quran 21:87)

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْث

Translation: “O Living and Eternal Maintainer! By Your mercy, I seek help!” (Tirmidhi)

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِالْبَلَاءِ وَدَرْكِ الشَّقَاءِ وَسُوْءِ الْقَضَاءِ و شَمَاتَةِ الْاَعْدَاءِ

Translation: “Oh Allah, I seek refuge in you from the difficulties of hardships. And the acquisition of wretchedness, and ill-fated, and the enemy’s malicious rejoicing for my suffering.” (Bukhari)

أللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمواتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ, كُنْ لِي جاَراً مِنْ (فُلانِ بْنِ فُلاَنٍ),وَأَحْزَابِهِ مِنْ خَلاَئِقِكَ أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيَّ أحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ يَطْغَى, عَزَّ جاَرُكَ وَجَلَّ ثَناَؤُكَ, وَ لاَ إِلَهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ

Transliteration: Allaahumma Rabbas-samaawaatis-sab’i, wa Rabbal-‘Arshil-‘Adheem, kun lee jaaran min [here you mention the person’s name], wa ‘ahzaabihi min khalaa’iqika, ‘an yafruta ‘alayya ‘ahadun minhum ‘aw yatghaa, ‘azzajaaruka, wajalla thanaa’uka, wa laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa ‘Anta.

Translation: “O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, be for me a support against [such and such a person] and his helpers from among your creatures, lest any of them abuse me or do me wrong. Mighty is Your patronage and glorious are Your praises. There is none worthy of worship but You.” (Bukhari)
